Accessibility Statement

Our commitment
Coachella Gardening is committed to making this website usable by everyone. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across the site: full keyboard operability with no keyboard traps, a visible focus indicator on every interactive control, color contrast checked against our design system, alt text on every content image, labeled form controls with clear error messages, tap targets of at least 48 by 48 pixels, text that reflows on small screens and at high zoom, and live-region announcements for content that updates in place.
How we test
Every code change to the site is checked automatically against WCAG 2.1 A and AA with the axe-core engine at phone and desktop sizes, including the states a page can be in (the open menu, the cookie notice, the contact form showing errors), and a code change that introduces a violation is not published. Content we publish from our editor is checked at publish time for heading structure, link text and image descriptions. From launch, the live site is re-scanned every week. We also test by hand with keyboard-only navigation and with the VoiceOver screen reader on macOS and iOS before launch and after significant changes. Automated tools find only part of what matters, which is why we want to hear from you (below).
Known limitations
Payment is handled on PayPal's checkout pages, which are outside our control; we cannot guarantee that every part of PayPal's checkout meets the same standard as the rest of this site.
Our booking calendar is built on Cal.com's scheduling service. The calendar interface you use is ours and is tested with the rest of the site; the confirmation and reschedule emails Cal.com sends alongside ours are theirs.
Video calls take place on Zoom, whose accessibility features (captions, keyboard shortcuts, screen-reader support) are documented by Zoom. Tell us in advance if you need live captions or another accommodation for a session and we will arrange it.
Garden layout designs are delivered as PDF files that include drawings, and we cannot promise that every PDF is fully tagged for assistive technology. If a PDF does not work for you, ask us: we will walk you through the design on a call and provide the plant list, calendar and layout notes as accessible text at no charge.
Embedded YouTube videos have captions, which we check on YouTube before we publish a video; turn them on with the CC button in the player. Where a video has a transcript, it appears below the video. Embedded video loads from YouTube only after you choose to play it; the player's controls are YouTube's.
A fully accessible way to book, always
If the booking calendar or checkout does not work for you, you can book by email or phone on our manual booking page, or reach us through our Contact page. We will schedule your session and send a secure payment link by email, and you receive the same booking confirmation either way. This route is available whenever we are open for bookings. Service and workshop requests are already handled by email and phone after you send the request form; if the form itself is a barrier, email or call us with the same details.
Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please tell us through our Contact page, by email at [email protected], or by phone at (909) 375-4825. We respond within one business day and will work with you to provide the information or service you were trying to reach while we fix the underlying problem.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. This statement is reviewed whenever the site changes materially and at least once a year.
